Obituary for Blair Newton (Nanton)

Blair passed away November 20, 2018 at the age of 87 after years of fighting Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

Blair was born May 27, 1931 in Nanton, Alberta. He lived in various places, raising his children in Golden, BC, before finally settling back in Nanton, where he eventually retired.
He was a loving husband and father, who is survived by his wife Lennie; his sons Darin (Lori) and Kevin (Lilly); grandchildren Jillian, Matthew, Jaden, and Charlotte, as well as numerous cousins. Blair is predeceased by his parents Bill and Minnie Newton and granddaughter Hailey.

Blair was an avid fisherman, having travelled to Chile 3 times, trips salmon fishing to Vancouver Island, and numerous trips to mountain lakes and streams, always being the first with a line in the water.

He easily made friends wherever he went, and was always there to lend a hand for his friends and family.
