Obituary for Audie Jerome Link (High River)

Audie Jerome Link died suddenly on August 12th, 2019 in High River, AB at the age of 62.

Audie is survived by his daughters Britni Quinlan (Sam) of Pincher Creek, AB, Madisson Anderson (Forrest) of Cranbrook, B.C.; his sisters Kim Van Dyk (Danielle, Amanda) of London, ON, Karen Link of Lethbridge, AB (Jodi, Robyn); and his grandchildren, Thomas, Sloan, Reed, Charlotte, and Jack. Audie is also predeceased by his father Gerald Link, and his mother Donna Van Patter.

Audie was born on April 29, 1957 in London, ON. Soon after he graduated high school, Audie sailed the Great Lakes working on freight ships. His love for working atop the water led him to enlist in the Navy. He served during his 20’s and enjoyed sailing the world on the naval vessels. After the Navy, Audie went to school at Lethbridge College in Lethbridge, AB to become a meat inspector. He worked for both the federal and provincial government for many years and retired in October 2018.

Audie was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion in High River, AB and was very passionate about the rights of our veterans.

There will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the High River Royal Canadian Legion, or your local legion.
